The convenience of a Kindle is pretty much unmatched, especially for travelers like me. Before, I would purchase book after book and pray that my luggage wasn’t bursting at the seams by the time I got done packing. Now, much to my husband’s relief, I just tuck my Kindle into my carry-on and hop aboard with an entire library at my fingertips! No more overweight luggage or crazy heavy carry-on that I hope no one actually weighs before I get on the plane–just 700 or so books right there in one neat, compact place.
One of my very favorite things about Kindle is all of the fantastic deals that they have. In addition to the thousands of books available for free each day, there are daily, weekly and monthly deals that make building my library both exciting and economical. Today’s post is focused on the Kindle monthly deals for April. Now that spring has finally sprung, I am looking forward to some time outside on the deck with a cup of coffee and some new reads. The selection today is just full of fun books from all different genres–you’re sure to find something that you can get lost in!

Contents
Bad Karma in the Big Easy
Andy Broussard is the New Orleans medical examiner. When Hurricane Katrina devastates the city, he is called in to investigate three nude young women found caught in the same brush tangle. None of them have water in their lungs, and before long Andy finds himself in the middle of a mystery. Who are they, and how did they get there? With the city records completely destroyed, the police without offices and the officers who haven’t defected left homeless, Andy must track down clues in a city that has been completely destroyed. What he finds is pure evil unlike anything he could ever have imagined.Pecan Pie and Deadly Lies (An Adams Grove Novel)
Country music star Cody Tuggle did not kill his scheming agent, but he is having a hard time getting anyone to believe that. In desperation he turns to award-winning photographer Kasey Phillips, who is now living quietly in small-town Adams Grove with her five-year-old son. As Kasey finds herself falling for Cody, everything she thought she knew about him is called into question. Casey must prove his innocence or he risks losing the woman he loves–forever. The Other Queen: A Novel
Award winning author Philippa Gregory “the queen of royal fiction” has done it again. The Other Queen tells the story of Mary, Queen of Scots. As Mary plots to regain the Scottish throne and take the throne of England from Elizabeth I, she is not above taking everyone around her down as well. A novel of manipulation, mastery and deceit from merry old Tudor England. My second favorite series of all time!A Calculated Life
Set late in the 21st century, this dystopian novel is almost believable. “Very like our own world, but slightly stretched at the edges” is how one reviewer describes this tale of genetic engineering, compliant populations and crime free society. When top predictor Jayna finds a string of events have contradicted her predictions, she heads “out into the world” to gather more data. What she discovers there threatens to change her future…and the future of her entire world.Timebound (The Chronos Files)
Kate has just discovered that her normal, 16-year-old private school life is anything but normal. Her grandmother is a time-traveler from the 23rd century who needs Kate to travel back to 1893 and stop her grandfather (also a 23rd century time-traveler) from starting a religion that will ruin humanity. As Kate’s wild romp through history unfolds, she finds herself racing to restore her present, find the boy she’s fallen for and trying to get herself back to normal–whatever that is!We hope you’ve enjoyed this preview of Kindle Monthly Deals for April!
