eReaders are now a popular way to enjoy our favorite stories, but there has recently been a new debate – Kindle Paperwhite vs Kindle 2016. The All-New Kindle Paperwhite is the latest eReader technology from Kindle and has new features that we’ve never seen before.

1/20/2016: Kindle 5 is not available anymore. Kindle 6 (2014) is out with “touchscreen” instead of 5 key navigation. Check out Detailed Review here -> Kindle 6 Inside Review.

2/7/16:Kindle 6 is only $59 (lacks Light-back screen feature only) – which is on extra $20 off discount this week!

The Paperwhite features a new white screen that looks just like the surface of a book. This type of screen makes sure that there will be no glare from sunlight when you’re trying to read. The Kindle Basic 2014 is similiar, allowing for easy reading, but is not as easy as the Paperwhite, which was updated solely for that reason. Both the Kindle and the Paperwhite have individual features that make them quality products, but there are many differences between the two.

Screen

The Kindle 6 is not as good as the Paperwhite at blocking glare from sunlight, but still does an effective job. The Kindle has the appearance of a book and dark fonts that make reading easier. However, reading is easier with the Kindle Paperwhite, which has been improved to look exactly like a white sheet of paper, resulting in no glare at all.

It also has built-in light with (300 dpi high resolution screen) that allows you to read without straining your eyes, and will adjust automatically to the amount of light in the room.

Both are 6″ screens. Just that Kindle 6 lacks of the light feature which is a must-have for night reader.
