You can use the email app to access and manage your content on your Fire tablet. This app allows for more than one email account to be added, offering combined or single inbox views. Once you have set up your account, your email will automatically be delivered to your Fire.
What about my contacts and calendar?
With Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail (including Live, MSN and Outlook.com), and corporate exchange accounts, your contacts and calendar will automatically be synced to your Fire tablet.
When you first enter the email app, you will be prompted to add an account. Enter your email address, tap “next” and follow the onscreen instructions. If your email address is one that is commonly recognized, you are finished with the setup. If it is not, then you will be taken to a screen where you can manually add your email server information.
If you have trouble setting up your account, or are unsure of the proper settings, contact your email service provider or system administrator for help.
Customizing your email
First, swipe from the left side of the screen to open the panel, and then tap “settings”. You may then tap “email settings” or select an account. Email settings allows you to change features such as embedded text size, whether or not to show embedded images, and other customized settings.
Account settings allows you to change the account name, set a default email account, manage your sync and data settings, customize your signature and delete an account from your device.
The calendar allows you to manage your meetings, events and personal schedule. Calendars from Facebook, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo and Exchange can be synced to your tablet. If you have multiple calendars synced to your Fire, you may select the ones that you would like to display. To do so, open the left panel and place a check next to the calendars that you want to view.
Open the “Contacts” app to manage your address book and contacts. You can email a contact directly from this app by opening the contact information and then tapping the email address. To change contact details, tap “edit”. Tap “more” to share, delete, join or email contact information to someone. To add the contact to your VIP list, tap the star located in the circle.
